Cancellation PolicyWhat happens when you need to stop a press release in progress.

Occasionally plans change. Use this policy to understand when a pending release can be canceled and how credits are handled when work has already started.

Section 1

Overview

GlobePRwire does not offer recurring subscriptions. Credits are purchased on demand and can be applied to individual press release distributions. This policy explains how to cancel a scheduled release before credits are used.

Section 2

Canceling a Distribution Request

  • You may cancel a press release that has not yet entered editorial review or distribution by emailing support with the release title and target publication date.
  • If editorial review has begun but distribution has not started, we will pause the order and determine whether credits can be restored based on work already completed.
  • Once distribution has started or been completed, the associated credits are considered used and cannot be canceled.
Section 3

How to Notify Us

Prompt communication helps ensure we can pause work in time. Please contact us using the details below:

  • Email: Distribution@globeprwire.com
  • Subject line suggestion: Cancellation request — include release title/date.
Section 4

Impact on Credits

If a cancellation is approved before editorial or distribution work begins, credits return to your account for future use. When material effort has already been provided (e.g., editorial edits, translations, or distribution confirmations), credits may be partially or fully consumed.

Section 5

Custom Agreements

Enterprise or agency agreements may outline additional cancellation terms. Those provisions take precedence where applicable.

Section 6
